Alliance Française Palmerston North is proud to introduce the 2024 Edition of the Francophone Film Festival in celebration of
French Language and Francophonie Week in New Zealand.
This French-German comedy, Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre (Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra), will be
screened on Friday 8 March at The Globe Theatre, 312 Main St, Palmerston North.
The screening of this film by reknowned French director, actor, comedian and screenwriter Alain Chabat (La Cité de la
peur
1994, Sur la piste du Marsupilami/Houba! On the Trail of the Marsupilami 2012) is a NZ PREMIERE.
Asterix and Obelix go to Egypt to help architect Edifis who is building a palace for Cleopatra.
Tickets for the opening night can be purchased from the Globe Theatre. General admission $35, AF members $25. Tickets include a
complimentary glass of wine, canapés and petit fours.
Drinks reception from 7 pm. The movie starts at 8 pm.
Screening in French with English subtitles.
This film is rated PG due to coarse language.
