Language and Francophonie Week in New Zealand.
The French-Canadian film Le Beau Geste (Nadia, Butterfly) will be screened on Friday
24 March
at The Globe Theatre, 312 Main St, Palmerston North.
Welcome cocktail from 7 pm. The movie starts at 8 pm. Screening in French with English subtitles.
The screening of this film by well-known French-Canadian screenwriter and director Pascal Plante is a NZ PREMIERE.
The film won the Best Canadian Feature Film Award at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2020.
Nadia, an Olympic swimmer in her twenties, faces the challenges of her imminent retirement and finds herself on a quest to redefine her
identity outside the world of elite sports.
