The following terms and conditions apply for the use of the Alliance Française Palmerston North website and services offered by the Alliance Française Palmerston North (also referred to as “the Alliance”).

Conditions of enrolment

• A current Alliance Française Palmerston North membership is required for enrolment in any course.
• Payment of the Alliance membership entitles you to benefits for a year from the date on which it is purchased. The Alliance membership is not refundable and not creditable.
• The Alliance Française Palmerston North reserves the right to divide, combine or cancel any class, should it be deemed necessary.
   

Payment and fees

Group lessons:

• All tuition and course material fees are due before the start of the term or at the latest by the FIRST day of class.  You will be charged an additional 10 per cent if you have not paid within the first 2 weeks of the term.

Private lessons:

• Each lesson must be arranged and paid for in advance or on the day. You and the teacher must agree upon a specific date and time via e-mail.

Payments:

• Payments can be made by credit card, internet banking (direct credit), Eftpos, cash or cheque (payable to Alliance Française Palmerston North).
• If paying by internet banking (direct credit), please deposit the fees into our bank account no. 03 1521 0008133 00 using your name (first name and surname) and/or the invoice number as the reference.
• The Alliance Française Palmerston North is a charitable organisation. You may wish to make a donation. A receipt will be issued for donations of $5.00 or more.
• All prices and fees include GST.
• Donations do not include GST.

Important points to note

• You will be notified by email (if provided) or by phone if a course has been cancelled.
• Please note your course start date and time as reminder letters are not issued.
• For security reasons you are advised not to include cash in postal enrolments.

Cancellation & refund policy

Group lessons

• If the course is cancelled and does not start, you receive a full refund.
• If you withdraw 8 days or more before the start date of the course, you will receive either:

              - A refund of the course fee less $20 administration charge or
              - A credit for the course fee that can be used later in the year.

• If you withdraw less than 8 days prior to the start date, you will receive a credit for the course fee less $20 administration charge.
• No refunds or credits once the course has started.

If a course does not reach a minimum number of 5 students or is for some other unavoidable reason cancelled by the Alliance Française Palmerston North, the course fee will be refunded in full.

When a specific class has to be cancelled by the Alliance Française Palmerston North for unavoidable reasons, we will organise a make-up lesson at a time suitable to as many of the class students as possible. If a student is unable to attend the make-up session, no credit or refund will be given.

Private lessons

• Cancellation of any lesson must occur more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time. Failure to notify Alliance Française Palmerston North of a lesson cancellation prior to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time will result in a full fee being charged for the lesson.
• All notifications must be sent by email to info@french.org.nz.
• If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start of the lesson, it will be considered an untimely cancellation and no refund will be given.
• All lessons purchased from Alliance Française Palmerston North are valid during the calendar year of the purchase.

In the event of Alliance Française Palmerston North being unable to provide a scheduled private lesson for unavoidable reasons, we will arrange a make-up lesson at the earliest convenience for both the student and the teacher, but no refund will be given.

Memberships

Membership fees, once they are paid, are non-refundable and not creditable.

Disclaimer

• Alliance Française Palmerston North makes every effort to ensure that course information supplied is correct at all times. It reserves the right to change fees and tutors when necessary. All attempts will be made to notify enrolled students of changes.

• Students may need to purchase textbooks or materials at an additional cost, unless otherwise specified.

Privacy statement

• Protecting your privacy and personal information is important to Alliance Française Palmerston North. It is, however, important for Alliance Française Palmerston North to collect certain personal information from you so that we can offer you effective and efficient service.

• We will only collect information from you with your knowledge and consent, we will only use personal information provided by you for the purpose/s for which it was collected, we will not disclose your personal information to a third party without your prior consent, we will ensure that your personal information is not disclosed to other institutions except if required by law or other regulation, and we will remove your personal information from our system when it is no longer required.

• You can gain access to the personal information we have about you, and send any necessary corrections by email to info@french.org.nz.

Data security

• The security of your data is taken very seriously. All credit card information is passed through to the eWAY payment gateway for card processing. eWAY is PCI/DSS 3.0 certified. Credit card numbers and CVV codes are not stored. All customer information is transmitted via SSL. In addition, the hosting environment implements a wide array of additional security measures to protect your data.

Image rights

• By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you authorise Alliance Française Palmerston North Incorporated to publish photographs and videos of you taken during classes or events on its website and/or social networks, for communication purposes. If you do not want your image to be used, please notify the staff.

General disclaimer

• Alliance Française Palmerston North makes every effort to ensure that the information on this website is correct at all times.

• Alliance Française Palmerston North reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any future date. Any changes will be posted on this page.
