Join in for this very interesting public talk by Pauline Nijman, supervisor for both the Wildbase Recovery and Hospital, and learn everything there is to know about birds and wildlife!
On Friday 1st November at Alliance Française Community Library, Square Edge, 1st Floor, 47 The Square. Drinks and nibbles from 6.30 pm. Talk starts at 7pm.
This talk will also be the launch of our “Novembre Numérique” Exhibition: try the Birdie Memory poster in our library and watch it come to life with the app!

Pauline grew up in Napier and worked at the marine zoo for 12 years. A deep seated passion for art, animals and teaching has lead Pauline on a unique career path with Wildbase for the last 10 years. She started as a technician, nursing some of the worlds rarest animals back to health alongside an amazing veterinary team and is now the supervisor for both the Wildbase Recovery and Hospital.
Pauline developed the Wildbase school sponsorship program, which has now evolved into the CETERC School program. Pauline knows first
hand what a difference personal interaction and connections can make between animal and person. She works to engage with everyone on the
important work Wildbase does for saving our native wildlife in the hopes that our community see the value in looking after our taonga for
future generations.
